Extended Mardi Himal

Starting from Pokhara city, we will climb into the surrounding foothills, diving straight into the rural lifestyle and culture. As we journey through several districts, we ascend into the higher mountains. Expect challenging terrain, but at the end of each hard day of trekking, you'll be rewarded with some of the most spectacular views of sunsets across the mountains and, on clear nights, a breathtaking glimpse of the Milky Way.

Day 0 – Meet in Pokhara

We will meet in a designated hotel in Pokhara during the evening. Here we will brief you on the upcoming adventure and answer any questions you may have. The trip includes a welcome dinner and a night's stay in the hotel.

Day 1 – Pokhara to Tilswaura

Headed out from Pokhara city and into nature, Tilswaura is a beautiful village in the district of Syangja, situated on the tops of the foothills at an approximate altitude of 1600m. Here we will have an introduction to agriculture with a farm-to-table dinner, followed by a campfire in the evening.

Day 2 – Tilswaura to Panchase Bhanjyang

After a good night’s rest, we will set off early morning towards Panchase, descending at first into the jungle and down to the river. We will then make a big climb up towards Panchase. This day will be a bit of a slog but it really helps get our legs working hard, making the coming days of the trek a little easier than they would be.

Day 3 – Panchase Bhanjyang to Kande

Before heading off from Panchase Bhanjyang, we will take a hike up to Panchase Peak, the first Himalayan summit of this adventure, offering us panoramic views and breathtaking mountains. A quick return back to camp for our breakfast before making our way along the ridgeline to Kande.

Day 4 – Kande to Forest Camp

Kande is a beautiful village situated between two enormous valleys, often mentioned in old Nepali folk songs. It is a perfect place to get a glimpse into the deep culture of the Gurung people. From here, we push on upwards along the arm of the colossal Mt. Machapuchare and into its rhododendron forest.

Day 5 – Forest Camp to High Camp

By now, you can expect to be fully adjusted to the mountains. Although we may be tired and sore, our bodies have been adjusting to the altitudes and the terrain along the way. This is usually where we catch a second wind as we make the final push up to High Camp. A slow and steady day out of the forest and right onto the tops of the mountains.

Day 6 – High Camp – Viewpoint – Australian Camp

An early start to the day for a sunrise across the snowy peaks. Being amongst these monstrous mountains can often be a humbling experience. To amplify it, we will hike to the top of the highest peak of the trip, with a 360-degree view of what can only be described as Shangri-La or heaven on earth. After filling up our photo albums, we will begin our descent to Australian Camp.

Day 7 – Australian Camp – Kande BBQ Party – Pokhara

Australian Camp is the starting point for many treks and summit expeditions in the Annapurna region of Nepal. With great views looking down on Pokhara and the majestic lake, we will meander back down to Kande, where we can enjoy a huge feast at a beautiful little farm. Local music, local foods, and locals! From here, we will take our jeep back to the hotel in Pokhara City and say our final goodbyes. There is last night in the hotel included in the package.
